It is a well designed water based fire protection system. Being considered to be the backbone of the entire fire fighting system, high velocity water spray system is one of main water based fire protection system which is installed to extinguish fires involving liquids with flash point 65°C (150°F) or higher. Three principles of extinguishing are employed in the system-emulsification, cooling and smothering. The result of applying these principle is to extinguish the fire within a few seconds.
